The biggest Brazilian esports championship is about to start with Split 1 of Campeonato Brasileiro de League of Legends (CBLOL). CBLOL Split 1 2024 kicks off on January 20, pitting ten of Brazil's best League of Legends teams against one another. Participating teams will be looking at the R$500,000 BRL ($100,000 USD) prize pool on the line and the singular MSI 2024 invitation on the line.

CBLOL Split 1 2024: Format

Kicking off the tournament on January 20 is the Group Stage. All teams will face each other twice during the Group Stage before the all-important Playoffs begin.

For the 2024 season, the Playoff format has slightly changed, giving the 5th and 6th placed teams a second chance in the tournament to work toward the win.

Group Stage (January 20 - March 19)

  • All ten teams compete in a double-round robin. All teams will eventually complete 18 matches.
  • All matches are Bo1.
  • The top six teams advance to the Playoffs. 1st - 4th place are seeded into the Upper Bracket, 5th and 6th are in the Lower Bracket.

Playoffs (March 24 - April 15)

  • All six teams compete in a double-elimination format, where all matches are Bo5, including the Grand Final.
  • The overall winner qualifies for the Mid-Season Invitational 2024.

CBLOL Split 1 2024: Schedule

CBLOL Split 1 2024 begins on January 20 for an action-packed nine weeks before the Playoffs start in March/April. Matches will be spread across Saturdays and Sundays, with five games played per day.

The schedule for the first seven weeks of CBLOL Split 1 is below. All times will be in GMT, and match winners will be bold. All future matches will be added at a later date, so watch this space! CBLOL Academy matches will also play alongside CBLOL Split 1, which began on January 5.

  • 5:00 PM: LOUD vs. Red Canids

April 5 - Lower Bracket Quarterfinals

  • 10:00 PM: Red Canids vs. KaBuM! Esports

April 6 - Lower Bracket Quarterfinals

April 7 - Upper Bracket Final

CBLOL Split 1 2024: Where To Watch

All CBLOL and CBLOL Academy games are hosted offline at the dedicated CBLOL Arena in Sao Paulo, with a number of respected broadcasters and commentators hosting co-streams.

While no live audiences will be there in person to watch matches, all games will be broadcast on the official CBLOL Twitch and YouTube channels, the latter of which is embedded below.

CBLOL Split 1 2024: Prize Pool Distribution

Unlike professional League of Legends leagues like LCK or LEC, the prize pool is split amongst all ten participating teams instead of just the top four. The lion's share of the overall R$500,000 BRL prize money (R$115,000) is awarded to the winning team, along with their automatic MSI invitation.
