The League of Legends Pro League (LPL) rivals any other professional League of Legends league like the LEC, LCK, or LCS. With top-tier talent and a highly competitive atmosphere, LPL Spring 2024 boasts 17 teams competing for glory, an MSI invitation, and a slice of the $590K prize pool

Kicking off on January 22 for nine weeks of high-intensity professional gameplay, anything can happen, and that's why the LPL is one of the most-watched esports leagues on the scene.

Read on for more details on LPL Spring 2024, including the official schedule, all 17 teams and their player rosters, where to watch, the current standings, and more.

LPL Spring 2024: Format

LPL Spring 2024, based in China, has a more intense format than the other professional LoL leagues due to the sheer number of teams competing. Look below for the whole format breakdown.

These 17 teams will compete for the $590,000 USD prize pool (converted from the local currency) and championship points on the line, determining whether they get invited to LoL Worlds later this year. The top two from LPL Spring also get an automatic MSI invitation, so there's everything to play for!

Group Stage

  • All 17 competing teams participate in a single-round robin.
  • All matches are Bo3.
  • The top ten teams advance to the Playoffs.

Playoffs

  • The top two teams from the Group Stage are automatically seeded into the Semifinals.
  • 3rd - 4th placed teams are seeded into the final round of the Playoffs.
  • 5th - 6th placed teams are seeded into the second round of the Playoffs.
  • 7th - 10th placed teams are seeded into the first round of the Playoffs.

Phase 1

  • The 3rd - 10th placed teams are divided into two brackets to play a King-of-the-Hill format.
  • 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 10th are in one bracket, while 4th, 5th, 8th, and 9th are in the other.
  • The two winners from each bracket (four in total) advance to Phase 2

Phase 2

  • Four teams play in a double-elimination format, competing for the win.
  • All matches are Bo5.
