Early WoW Patch Notes 10.2.7: UI Changes & WoW Remix

World of Warcraft Dragonflight is slowly drawing to a close with the upcoming release of the MMO's tenth expansion, The War Within. But wait, the fun isn't over yet.

Blizzard Entertainment has one final trick up its sleeve. They've recently released the development notes for patch 10.2.7, the final update for WoW Dragonflight after the excitement of patch 10.2.6's limited-time battle royale mode.

Unlike previous patches, which were heavily focused on class tuning, dungeons, and new gear, WoW patch 10.2.7 Dark Heart will give players new content to tide them over until the release of the latest World of Warcraft expansion: The War Within, which is coming later this year.

Keep reading for all the changes in WoW Dragonflight patch 10.2.7, including its upcoming release date.

WoW Patch 10.2.7: Release Date

World of Warcraft Dragonflight patch 10.2.7 will officially release on April 23, 2024.

It will be the last major patch before the focus turns to The War Within, World of Warcraft's tenth expansion, which is still on track for an August - October 2024 release date.

What's New in WoW Dragonflight Patch 10.2.7?

WoW Remix Mists of Pandaria

If you're a newer WoW player, you may yet to have a chance to explore the mystical wonders of Pandaria. However, WoW patch 10.2.7 makes those dreams a reality, as WoW Remix: Mists of Pandaria is an all-new, limited-time mode that lets players create a brand new WoW Remix character, leveling from 10 to 70 at an accelerated rate.

Not only do players get to explore the unique storylines of Mists of Pandaria, but they also get to delve into raids dungeons, and even earn exclusive mounts and mountains of powerful loot. Any unwanted items can also be converted into Bronze, a currency used to purchase cosmetics and other goodies.

Don't worry, though! Once the WoW Remix Mists of Pandaria event ends, all the rewards, transmogs, and items you've earned will be automatically transferred to characters in Dragonflight and later, The War Within, so you won't lose anything.

Heritage Armor for Draenei and Troll Races

Next up for Heritage Armor is Troll and Draenei after the Night Elves and Undead got theirs last patch. Like Heritage Armor for other races, there will likely be a lengthy requirement quest to complete in order to unlock it, although these won't be available for testing for the Public Test Realm (PTR).

You can only get Heritage Armor with max-level player characters (without boosting).

WoW 10.2.7 Patch Notes: User Interface Changes

Premade Group Finder

Several in-game changes will be made to improve the player's experience in finding M+ dungeons using the Premade Group Finder icon.

A filter button lets players filter results for the following:

  • Specific dungeons
  • If the role you've queued for is available
  • If none of your class is already in the group
  • Tank/or Healer in the group participating
  • Minimum M+ rating for the leader
  • Dungeon difficulty

The role icons on each listing now show class colors, so players can quickly see the current group makeup.

Groups that no longer fit your filter criteria will be marked with a red background. For example, if you have queued as Damage and a listed group filled up on three Damage players, it will be marked red. Similarly, groups you have been declined from will automatically be marked red and filtered to the bottom of the list.

  • The listing tooltip now shows information for all members of the group, including their current specialization and M+ rating for this season
  • A tooltip tutorial has been implemented to teach players to search for an M+ key range for more precise results, for example, 10 - 15
  • For the leader applicants pane, the applicant tooltip now shows the applicant's info in a more readable format, including their M+ Rating, their highest key for the listed dungeon, and their highest key completed overall

Other User Interface & Accessibility Changes

  • Recipes can now be tracked from the Crafting Orders window
  • A new option has been added to Auction House filters to specifically show only current expansion items, which will be useful when The War Within launches
  • The location of Dragonriding Races can be toggled on the map filter
  • Mount tooltips now show the category in which the mount belongs to: Ground, Aquatic, Flying, or Dragonriding

WoW 10.2.7 Patch Notes: Trading Post Changes

  • The Trading Post details panel will now showcase mount categories: Ground, Aquatic, Flying, or Dragonriding
  • Level requirements for mounts will now also be shown in the Trading Post details panel
